Mountain Rifleman

Course Description

This 3-day course at Range 1 prepares the shooter for engagements in a mountainous environment.  Ideal for those who wish to hunt or employ their rifle with extreme precision within mountainous environments and those who wish to learn basic through advanced techniques in a short period of time. 

This course covers select curricula from each of our LRPR Level 1, 2, and 3 courses over a 3-day period.

  • Scope Mounting and Zeroing Techniques
  • Rifle Set-up
  • Fundamentals of Marksmanship
  • Use of Tripods, Bipods, Range Finders, and other Modern Equipment
  • High Angle Shooting (Up and Down) in a Mountainous Environment
  • Advanced Ballistics and Kestrel Instruction
  • Cross Terrain Feature Engagements 
  • Hasty Positions / Rapid Firing Position Construction Techniques
  • Environmental Effects and Advanced Ballistics

Required Equipment

  • Rifle capable of holding 1.0 MOA (1.0 inch group) or smaller at 100 yards
  • Optic with modern ranging reticle
  • 300 rounds of match grade ammunition (minimum)
  • Shooting Tripod
  • Rear Bag / Barricade Shooting bag
  • Kestrel 5700


*All required equipment can be rented or will be provided from Razorback Tactical*

Additional details such as a required/recommended Hyper-linked gear-list and tentative course schedule will be emailed to each student upon registration.


*Background Check*

To ensure the safety of our communities, students, and instructors, all personnel conducting any in-person course are required to conduct a background check.  

Upon registration you will be prompted to complete a background check. Failure to complete or pass background check prior to course results in automatic disenrollment and refund minus service fees.
