Defensive Pistol Course
Course Description
This course provides basic through intermediate pistol employment training in a systematic manner that is available for shooters of all experience levels. Day 1 includes the basic fundamentals of pistol safety, employment, and live-fire training with Outside the Waistband holsters on paper and steel targets ranging from 3-40 yards. Day two, focuses on the considerations of concealed carry of a handgun within stressful environments, Terminal and Wound ballistics, and employing a pistol from within and around a vehicle.
This course includes classroom instruction and multiple immersive scenarios to cover applicable state and federal laws, defensive shooting considerations and methods.
Successful completion yields a course certificate that will qualify most students for concealed carry licenses applicable to multiple states. *All federal, state, and local laws apply.*

- Terminal / Wound Ballistics and Ballistics Gelatin Demo
- Engaging Threats from Within and Around Vehicles

Required Equipment
- Pistol with Outside the Waistband Holster
- Inside Waistband Holster is not required for this course but may be utilized if proficiency is demonstrated on day 1.
- 600 rounds of ammunition (minimum)
- Magazines (3 minimum) with Mag Pouches
- Shooters Belt / Waist belt
- Eye and Hearing Protection
- Water Source
- Appropriate clothing (pants and closed toe shoes/boots)
*All required equipment can be rented or loaned from Razorback Tactical*
Pistol/Holster/Mags: $60 for course (Ammo not included)
